Agartha Version 1
The Sea of Oberro
The Sea of Oberro is in the southern portion of Agartha and is often known as the Sea of Storms. Legend states that long ago Dismatu and Yacha argued over who should have influence over this sea. When they couldn’t agree they both individually decided to try and ruin it for the other. Dismatu caused the seas to be turbulent, dark, and cold, forcing the tides into distorted patterns. Yacha caused the winds to howl over the sea in ever-changing swirls of clouds and lighting. While the two goddesses have no animosity toward each other they never resolved this issue and thus the sea remains near impossible to pass. Only one account of anyone crossing the sea is known, and that was by Gladius Oberro a cunning halfling sailor for whom the sea was renamed. The northern and southern most parts of the sea are turbulent and tough to sail but many sailors pass through them.
